Lubbock County Expo Center

Our mission is to harvest, develop, and promote events for the interest of our community that preserve Western heritage, agricultural values and advance educational experiences for all ages as well as provide entertainment at our unique multi-use facility while giving back to our youth and providing a positive economic impact to the South Plains.

Who We Are

The Lubbock County Expo Center Arena is approximately 430,000 sq. ft. and will accommodate up to approximately 9,000 attendees. Features include versatile space to accommodate both concrete floor and dirt events, ample food & beverage points of sale and restrooms, quality acoustics, and ample parking on all sides with multiple entries/exits to North University and Loop 289. This will be a flagship Lubbock venue, and like The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences, a lasting legacy for generations of youth and families who enjoy a variety of activities.

This multi-purpose Arena will be used for K-12 and higher education events (including Texas Tech), community education such as 4H, Future Farmers of America (FFA), amateur athletics (e.g. wrestling, gymnastics), and scholarship fundraisers. The Arena will also host rodeos and agricultural/equestrian events, concerts, family shows, motorsports, festivals, and many other community attractions. Volunteer opportunities will be provided to bring many people together to build stronger community camaraderie.

Goals

YOUR HELP NEEDED NOW

Our immediate goal is to secure sufficient private fundraising through signed contracts for naming rights, sponsorships, and philanthropy to secure a construction loan/line of credit which, when combined with the proceeds of County Venue Tax collections to date and Venue Tax bond proceeds, enables commencement of construction of the Lubbock County Expo Center in 2024. Contact Amber Moenning, Executive Director, to help our effort.

Long-Term Goals

Our long-term goals for the venue are to provide the high quality multi-purpose arena and related facilities the community critically needs and wants at the earliest possible date. The Lubbock County Expo Center will enhance quality of life and strengthen our community, contribute to attraction and retention of residents and businesses, create jobs, increase tourism and other fiscal and economic impacts, and be a catalyst for Lubbock’s continued growth.
